SceneBloom: Agentic Indoor Environment Generation with Realistic and Diverse Layouts for Embodied Learning

Training generalizable embodied agents requires realistic, varied, and simulation-ready indoor environments. Language-guided methods support semantic planning and object-level reasoning, but precise spatial grounding remains difficult. Visual generative models offer rich priors over plausible arrangements, yet their outputs require geometric reasoning to become physically valid 3D scenes. We introduce SceneBloom, an agentic framework that combines visual layout sampling with contract-guided 3D compilation. A hierarchical sampler uses diffusion priors to generate furniture arrangements within functional zones. A compiler then uses relations extracted from each proposal to guide geometric fitting and local pose correction. Across five room types, SceneBloom attains the highest visual quality and physical stability among the compared methods and is the only method with no detected mesh collisions and out-of-bounds objects. Its layouts are also closer to the distribution of real rooms than those of all compared baselines. Object navigation policies trained in these realistic scenes achieve a higher success rate in held-out real scans than those trained on an equal number of real training scans. UniAction: Unified Action Conditioning for World Models

Actions that condition world models are highly heterogeneous, and thus existing action-conditioned world models are typically built for individual action types, fragmenting already limited action-annotated data across separate models. We introduce UniAction, a unified action-conditioning framework that represents any action as a sparse set of action elements, each with a discrete semantic identity and a continuous spatiotemporal grounding coordinate. By mapping these coordinates directly into the pretrained video model's native positional space, UniAction allows heterogeneous actions to condition a shared world model within the same spatiotemporal structure. We further introduce cardinality-calibrated attention to address the bias from differing action representation granularities. We evaluate UniAction on four representative action forms: force, camera control, hand pose, and robot pose. UniAction outperforms conditioning alternatives in action following, and a single jointly trained model surpasses the action-specific experts, showing that heterogeneous action data benefit from unified model and joint training.

A Foundation Model for Policy In-Context Longitudinal Causal Effect Estimation

Longitudinal causal effect estimation is complicated by time-varying confounding and treatment-confounder feedback loops. Existing methods generally require data-specific nuisance-model fitting, and many are tailored to prespecified treatment sequences or prediction horizons, leading to time-consuming computation at deployment. We introduce *Policy In-Context Longitudinal causal Effect estimation with Prior-data Fitted Networks* (**PICLE-PFN**), the first foundation model for longitudinal causal effect estimation that supports *dynamic* treatment policies. PICLE-PFN represents target policies through in-context history-decision demonstrations, providing a unified interface for a broad class of treatment policies. Pretrained over synthetic data sampled from longitudinal structural causal models, PICLE-PFN amortizes causal effect estimation across datasets, policies, and horizons. Given a new observational dataset and target policy, it directly predicts conditional average potential outcomes (CAPOs) in one forward pass without task-specific training or hyperparameter tuning. Across synthetic and semi-synthetic longitudinal benchmarks, PICLE-PFN achieves competitive RMSE and substantially improved uncertainty calibration with a fraction of deployment runtime, compared to state-of-the-art conventional estimators trained and tuned separately for each dataset.

CompMVR: Compression-Aware Multi-View Restoration Using Diffusion Models for Geometrically Consistent 3D Reconstruction

Real-world 3D reconstruction pipelines often rely on multi-view images degraded by lossy compression. While compression artifacts have been extensively studied in single-image or video restoration, their impact on multi-view geometry remains largely overlooked. In this work, we identify compression-induced cross-view geometric inconsistency as a critical failure mode, where view-dependent artifacts disrupt feature matching, dense correspondence, camera parameter estimation, and downstream 3D reconstruction tasks such as novel view synthesis. To address this problem, we propose CompMVR, a compression-aware multi-view diffusion restoration framework that jointly refines compressed views while preserving cross-view consistency, and construct compressed datasets for systematic evaluation. Unlike conventional restoration methods that optimize each image independently for 2D perceptual quality, CompMVR leverages learned compression priors and cross-view correspondence to recover visual details while improving geometric reliability across views. Experiments across diverse datasets, codecs, and compression levels demonstrate gains in restoration quality and downstream 3D tasks, including novel-view synthesis, camera pose estimation, and view matching. These results establish compressed multi-view restoration as a distinct problem and highlight its importance for 3D reconstruction under lossy compression. Adaptive World-Models for Anomaly Recognition (AWARE): A Framework for Robot Dynamics Prediction and Introspection

Unrecognized anomalies in critical infrastructure can rapidly cascade into catastrophic physical or operational failures. Current anomaly detection approaches often rely on direct access to the monitored system by utilizing onboard sensors, such as motor encoders, to detect anomalous states. However, legacy hardware often lacks these sensors, or strict security protocols may prohibit access altogether. We therefore present AWARE, a world model framework that is capable of anomaly detection using only external camera monitoring via system dynamics estimation and state prediction. Evaluated across 240 real-world robotic crane trajectories, including payload collisions and motor degradations, AWARE demonstrates a 26% improvement in anomaly classification over our strongest baseline under noisy, camera-only state estimation. Furthermore, the inferred dynamics parameter can be decoded to identify the source of faults, localizing the degrading motor with 88% accuracy.

SemGeo-Gen: Unsupervised Generation of Approximate Cross-Instance Semantic-Geometric Correspondences

We introduce SemGeo-Gen, an unsupervised method for generating approximate cross-instance semantic-geometric supervision from weakly aligned 3D object collections. Our goal is not to recover exact point-level correspondences, which are often ambiguous across different instances and would require expensive, impractical manual supervision at scale. Instead, we automatically produce approximate correspondences that are semantically meaningful, geometrically consistent, and diverse enough to train modern correspondence models. Given only coarse category-level rotation alignment, SemGeo-Gen lifts multi-view DINOv2 features to 3D, aligns object instances using continuous piecewise-affine registration, and prunes candidate matches using semantic consistency. The resulting 3D correspondences can be projected into rendered views, yielding scalable 3D-3D, 3D-2D, and 2D-2D supervision without manual annotation. We validate the generated correspondences against sparse human annotations from KeypointNet, obtaining 93% PCK@0.10 and 97% PCK@0.15. More importantly, we show that using the generated correspondences for synthetic pretraining improves recent state-of-the-art semantic correspondence models on SPair-71k after fine-tuning on real data, with gains of up to 5 PCK@0.10 points. Together, these results indicate that approximate semantic-geometric supervision generated from 3D assets can improve real-image correspondence learning and serve as a scalable alternative to costly manual annotation. Localization and Neural Splatting on the Edge: An FPGA Scene Memory for Robots

Resource-constrained robots and autonomous vehicles need scene memories that localize a camera and render nearby views without a desktop GPU. Scene-coordinate regression (SCR) and 3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) fit because they avoid an SfM stage, but ACEsplat-style pipelines are GPU-centered, and moving them to an edge FPGA is hard because SCR is pose-sensitive and 3DGS rendering is irregular and capacity-sensitive. We present LENS, an edge scene-memory acceleration system on the AMD KR260 that brings an ACEsplat-style workload to a low-power FPGA/ARM platform. Rather than proposing a new scene model, LENS co-designs the two dominant kernels with the board data path: an INT16 SCR accelerator that preserves pose accuracy, and a bit-exact fixed-point ordered 3DGS renderer that rewrites alpha transmittance as a log-sum-exp recurrence and removes provably useless streamed Gaussians. All LENS latency, power, and quality results are board-measured. The SCR engine preserves DSAC* localization accuracy at 25.42 ms, the on-board renderer reaches 34.11 dB on Cambridge against ACEsplat's 33.20, novel-view synthesis on RealEstate10K reaches 27.84 dB against 26.11, and all ten Wayspots scenes reach the ACEsplat rendering target. LENS wins performance per watt over a Jetson Orin NX on every deployment task, by 1.9x to 5.7x at about a quarter of the power, and is faster in absolute latency on localization and Wayspots rendering. On-device training reaches ACEsplat-level quality but not the GPU's time or energy, marking the remaining boundary for a future training accelerator.

Making MLLM Latents Matter: Factor-Aware Predictive Learning for Cinematic Video Generation

Cinematic video generation requires both temporal inference from limited inputs (i.e., sparse rather than frame-by-frame guidance) and factor-aware control of character, scene, action, and camera. Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) offer useful priors for both capabilities, but their representations are not automatically actionable for video generation: a Video Diffusion Transformer (DiT) may bypass them through native conditioning pathways, and using them does not ensure either factor-aware control or generation-compatible temporal prediction. We propose Factor-Aware Predictive Learning (FAPL), which establishes effective MLLM latent use as a shared prerequisite and then targets the two capabilities with complementary learning signals. First, latent-only generator grounding trains the DiT with a frozen MLLM and connector, strengthening the DiT's use of MLLM latents for generation. Second, for factor-aware control, paired videos specify a target-factor change and non-target preservation, and factor-span replacement trains the DiT to realize this relationship in its output. Third, for temporal inference, text-only and text-plus-complete-video observations share a video target, and the trained DiT is then frozen while the MLLM and connector are optimized through it. This final stage trains limited-input representations for generation while retaining complete-observation reconstruction as a complementary training mode. Extensive experiments demonstrate our consistently better performance on three cinematic video generation tasks (i.e., sparse-to-video, factor-aware editing, and multi-shot generation) over baselines and validate FAPL's contributions to MLLM feature use, temporal control, and factor coordination.

Decoupling Patient Personas and Clinical Workflows: A Dual-Agent Approach to Realistic Medical Dialogue Generation

Pre-consultation medical dialogues are essential for collecting comprehensive patient information, but are costly to obtain at scale due to privacy and ethical constraints. Existing LLM-based synthesis methods often rely on prompt engineering or rigid rules, limiting their ability to balance clinical relevance with realistic patient diversity. We propose CoRPS-Dial, a controllable dual-agent framework for pre-consultation medical dialogue synthesis that integrates patient personas with guideline-aligned clinical workflow rules. CoRPS-Dial generates dialogues through interactions between a persona-driven patient agent and a process-guided doctor agent, followed by post-hoc quality control for role consistency, workflow completeness, and textual consistency. Experiments on coronary heart disease demonstrate that CoRPS-Dial improves alignment between synthetic and real dialogues in information coverage, clinical compliance, and dialogue naturalness. Downstream fine-tuning experiments further confirm the utility of the generated synthetic data for medical dialogue tasks. These results highlight the effectiveness of CoRPS-Dial for clinically grounded and controllable medical dialogue synthesis.

UniWorld: A Unified World Model for Real-Time Visual World Simulation

Continuous visual world simulation requires coupling evolving scene geometry with temporally persistent appearance. We present UniWorld, a unified framework that integrates depth trajectories and reference appearance within a shared video generation model. The central design maintains visual and geometric histories on a common timeline. Noise-aligned overlapping continuation places generated history at the prescribed sampling noise level and commits only newly generated latents. Rolling depth latent state preserves the corresponding geometric controls, incrementally reads newly available geometry, and keeps the conditioning fixed within each sampling window. Together, these mechanisms ensure exact preservation of latent history while bounding the active depth state by the window size. We evaluate continuous generation, paired history interventions, and long-horizon behavior across diverse scene categories. The same generator supports estimated, native, and on-demand simulator depth, while cached and incremental execution paths produce bitwise-identical outputs. Appearance changes and geometric control branches operate through the same interface without modifying committed history. The measured steady-state DiT execution path achieves real-time generation throughput, demonstrating the efficiency of UniWorld for continuous visual world simulation.

Past as State, Present as Attention: Persistent-State Blockwise Flow Matching for Long-Horizon Co-Speech Motion Generation

Co-speech motion generation remains challenging over long horizons due to the need for temporal coherence and consistent style. Existing methods typically generate long motions segment by segment, either conditioning on a short seed of recent frames, which gradually drifts, or retaining ever-longer explicit histories, which are costly to maintain and hard to learn from limited data. We trace these limitations to a key asymmetry between past and present: past motion carries slowly varying style that should be compactly summarized, whereas the current segment exhibits fast-changing local dynamics that require fine-grained modeling. This asymmetry motivates a simple Past-As-State, Present-as-Attention principle for long-horizon co-speech motion generation. Following this principle, we propose PASPA, which summarizes past history with an inter-block persistent state and models the current segment with intra-block bidirectional self-attention. We instantiate PASPA within a blockwise flow matching framework, with multi-block supervision for effective training over variable histories, prefill-decode state caching for efficient rollout, and hybrid classifier-free guidance for enhanced history and speech conditioning. Extensive public-benchmark experiments show that PASPA achieves state-of-the-art FGD performance and preserves motion style across long-sequence generation.

RLSplat: Resource-Linear Budget Control for Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting

Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting (FF3DGS) reconstructs 3D scenes from images in a single forward pass, making it well-suited to applications that must operate within limited resource budgets. To further improve its practicality, recent budget-controllable FF3DGS methods allow the number of Gaussians to be adjusted at inference, so that the output meets a given storage limit or rendering-latency constraint. However, these methods overlook the cost of inference itself: to produce a representation with the target number of Gaussians, they first predict a dense set of Gaussians and then prune or select from it, requiring nearly constant latency and peak memory regardless of the budget. We therefore propose RLSplat, a resource-linear budget-controllable FF3DGS framework whose representation size, inference latency, and peak memory all decrease linearly as the Gaussian budget is reduced. Instead of pruning or selection, RLSplat learns a Gaussian allocation policy that distributes the budget across local scene regions, so that exactly the requested number of Gaussians is generated. These Gaussians are then refined through resource-linear Gaussian decoding, in which each Gaussian attends only to nearby Gaussians found via an efficient hierarchical neighbor search, so that the decoding cost decreases linearly with fewer Gaussians. In zero-shot evaluation, RLSplat outperforms prior budget-controllable methods at every budget, surpassing the strongest baseline even with 4$\times$ fewer Gaussians, while running up to 4.1$\times$ faster with 9.6$\times$ less peak memory at low budgets.

    Easy-3Dfy: Object-Level Geometric Composition for Single-Image 3D Scene Construction

Single-image 3D scene construction is a fundamental problem in 3D vision. Recent methods such as SAM-3Dfy enable end-to-end reconstruction of 3D assets and their scene layouts, but still struggle with fine-grained scene geometry and asset quality. Meanwhile, specialized 3D object generators provide detailed object geometry, while 3D foundation models offer strong and generalizable spatial understanding. We propose Easy-3Dfy, a compositional workflow that decouples object generation from scene layout estimation, allowing specialized models to fully exploit their respective strengths. An RPF-based aligner then bridges these capabilities by establishing geometric correspondence between object-local meshes and partial scene pointmaps, recovering object layout for scene composition. Without requiring complete scene-level supervision, the proposed workflow consistently outperforms SAM-3Dfy across multiple geometric metrics on Scene-Maker and 3D-FUTURE200. Our results demonstrate that explicit geometric composition can effectively combine high-quality object generation with strong spatial understanding, while enabling the workflow to benefit independently from advances in both 3D object generation and foundation models.

Towards Effective and Transferable Physical Camouflage against Multi-View BEV-based 3D Perception in Autonomous Driving

Modern autonomous driving systems widely adopt multi-view Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) based 3D perception models due to their superior performance. Despite their success, the robustness of these models against adversarial camouflage attacks remains largely unexplored. Existing camouflage attacks primarily target single-view 2D detectors, limiting their effectiveness in multi-view 3D perception settings. To address this gap, we propose BEVCA, a novel adversarial camouflage generation framework tailored for multi-view BEV-based 3D perception. Our framework integrates a BEV-feature-based adversarial loss with a multi-view neural rendering module, enabling effective and transferable camouflage attacks across different models and tasks. Extensive experiments in both digital and physical settings demonstrate that BEVCA outperforms state-of-the-art baselines and exhibits strong robustness under real-world conditions. ACWM-RM: A Reference-Free Reward Model from Complementary Mismatch Preferences

Reinforcement learning has gained attention for improving action-conditioned world models (ACWMs), as it enables reward-driven optimization of visual quality (VQ) and action-following fidelity (AF) beyond flow-matching optimization. Realizing this potential requires reward signals that reliably rank videos by both VQ and AF. However, existing rewards capture only one dimension: metric-based rewards assess VQ but require ground-truth videos and do not directly assess AF, while inverse dynamics model (IDM) rewards assess AF without references but do not guarantee VQ. Moreover, IDMs, typically trained on real videos, may provide unreliable rewards for generated videos containing visual artifacts and physical inconsistencies. In this work, we introduce the Action and Video Mismatch Benchmark (AVM-Eval), comprising 67.2k pairs that evaluate how reliably IDMs assess AF on real and generated videos. We then propose ACWM-RM, a reward model that jointly assesses VQ and AF without ground-truth videos during reward computation. To train it, we first construct the Action and Video Mismatch Preference Dataset (AVM-Pref) with 506.3k pairs providing complementary supervision: action-mismatch pairs supervise AF, while video-mismatch pairs supervise VQ and expose the model to generated videos. We then pretrain an action-conditioned predictor on real videos to learn forward dynamics before jointly training it with a patch-weighted score head on AVM-Pref to transfer these dynamics to AF assessment on generated videos. Evaluation on AVM-Eval reveals the limited reliability of IDMs on generated videos, while downstream RL experiments show that ACWM-RM outperforms reward baselines in both criteria.

$Ψ$-0.6: Adaptive Streams of Thought in a Unified Vision-Language World Model

Humans reason about the physical world by flexibly combining different forms of inference as a problem unfolds. Achieving this flexibility is a major open challenge in AI: capabilities often remain separated across specialized models, limiting how they can be composed and jointly adapted to a task. We introduce $Ψ$-0.6, a unified vision-language world model that adaptively composes perception, language, geometry, and simulation within a shared reasoning process we call streams of thought. These streams interleave images, text, and explicit representations of geometry and motion, all of which the model can generate and interpret through a shared token interface. $Ψ$-0.6 surpasses leading open-weight models zero-shot on multi-view spatial reasoning, with further gains from reasoning through geometric intermediates. It also supports counterfactual simulation: generating and interpreting imagined scenes to determine, for example, whether moving an object would obstruct a pathway. Reinforcement learning from task feedback jointly optimizes the selection, generation, and use of intermediate representations, improving visual question-answering accuracy with gains that transfer to unseen benchmarks. $Ψ$-0.6 offers a path toward adaptive physical reasoning -- not only predicting the physical world but also choosing the representations through which to reason.

The LLENS Platform for On-Premises Large Language Model Agents in a Japanese University Hospital: Development and Evaluation Study

Large language model agents that use tools could take on part of the electronic health record and desk work that occupies physicians' time, but in many hospitals the medical information systems run inside closed networks, so the model and the agent harness must also sit inside. We designed, implemented, and deployed LLENS, a clinical support AI agent platform that runs inside the closed network of Hokkaido University Hospital on one host with 8 NVIDIA H200 GPUs, the open-weight model Kimi K2.6 (~1 trillion parameters), and a web application rebuilt from Open WebUI. The harness has 10 components, including page image reading, full-text attachment input, a path-addressed document tree without a vector index, a network-isolated sandbox, artifact return, self-checking of generated output, subagents, and saved procedures. Kimi K2.6 was chosen from 3 open-weight candidates and scored 480/500 on the 2026 Japanese Medical Licensing Examination; it generated 119 tokens/s for one user and served 16 concurrent requests at 908 tokens/s in total. On 180 questions over hospital documents (3 seeds each), mean accuracy was 10.7% with no documents, 81.3% with fixed retrieval (top 10 chunks of one lexical search), and 97.2% with interactive access, in which the model reads with document tools and the sandbox (15.9 percentage points above fixed retrieval, 95% CI 10.9-21.3); the difference lay in filtering/counting questions (16.7% vs 87.8%). Five scenarios with synthetic data ran on combinations of the components: needlestick injury response, batch adverse event grading, scanned referral letter transcription, falls data aggregation and plotting, and investigation of 3 topics by subagents. The platform has run on the hospital network since September 14, 2026.

Learning from Next-Frame Prediction: Towards Unified and Scalable Visual World Modeling

Video provides a natural source of supervision: what happens next serves as a learning signal for visual world modeling. Yet masked video pretraining focuses on recovering missing content from surrounding context rather than predicting the future from the past. Autoregressive methods instead predict forward one token at a time, but have yet to match joint-embedding methods in representation quality. This gap motivates us to revisit the granularity and space of future prediction. In this work, we introduce VANE, a self-supervised visual pretraining framework built on next-frame prediction in embedding space. A causal encoder summarizes past observations for a state predictor that infers the representation of the entire next frame, making temporal evolution the primary learning signal. This prediction is carried out in a fixed embedding space provided by a frozen semantic tokenizer, emphasizing scene content and structure. To retain fine-grained spatial detail alongside semantic content, a lightweight auxiliary generative decoder reconstructs future-frame patches conditioned on the predicted representations. To unify visual modeling across images and videos, we construct a local-to-global crop sequence for still images, allowing the same encoder to predict newly revealed regions from earlier crops under the same objective. Experiments show that VANE improves with model and data scaling, achieving SOTA on most anticipation, recognition, and dense perception benchmarks among unified encoders. Especially on EPIC-KITCHENS-100 action anticipation, it surpasses V-JEPA 2.1 by 7.1 points in mean-class recall@5. These results demonstrate that next-frame prediction in embedding space is effective and scalable for visual world modeling.

    RADIANT: Object-Centric Feed-Forward Global Illumination

Feed-forward neural renderers synthesize global illumination across novel 3D scenes without per-scene optimization or runtime ray tracing. Existing transformer-based renderers tokenize individual triangles, so self-attention scales quadratically with mesh resolution. Yet macroscopic radiative transport is governed by the underlying surface geometry and object arrangements rather than a particular mesh discretization; finer tessellation can thus inflate token counts without changing the underlying transport physics, motivating a discretization-agnostic and object-centric representation. We introduce RADIANT (RADiance-based Inter-Actor Neural Transformer), an object-centric architecture for feed-forward global illumination from point inputs. By representing each object with a compact budget of 32 surface-patch tokens, RADIANT decouples attention sequence length from polygon counts. In a single network, an inter-object scene transformer models 3D radiative exchange and a view decoder renders images at target camera poses. To capture light transport without materializing O(N^2) bias matrices, invariant form-factor attention embeds geometric distances and surface orientations directly into query-key dot products as SE(3)-invariant inner products weighted by learned area and material gains. For primary visibility without mesh connectivity, camera rays cross-attend scene tokens guided by depth-tested point splats in a shared spherical frame. Across a 1.03M-scene benchmark under matched model capacity, RADIANT reaches 25 dB tone-mapped PSNR in 5x fewer training steps than RenderFormer, and achieves 32.2 dB at 600k steps (+3.3 dB over RenderFormer and +7.6 dB over RenderFormer-V2). We further demonstrate the scalability of RADIANT, which completes a 512x512 forward pass of a 500-object scene in 0.83 s, with computational cost scaling with the number of objects rather than polygons.

Interpreting Physics in Video Encoders using Multi-Object Interaction Videos

Video encoder models are increasingly used as world models for physical AI, where a policy plans by rolling out the latent, so what physics the latent holds bounds what the agent can plan over. Moreover, existing interpretability work probes quantities belonging to a single object; the quantities that make physics relational, such as momentum transfer, restitution, and friction, are defined between bodies and have not been examined. We probe relational physics attributes in two frozen self-supervised video encoders (V-JEPA2 and VideoMAE) under two-body settings and test if they transfer across environments. Our early findings are mixed. Both encoders separate elastic from inelastic collisions reliably. V-JEPA2's own predictor is less likely to predict a collision that creates kinetic energy compared to one that loses it. Momentum-violation detection appears in only one of the two encoders, a kinetic-energy readout survives a change of environment for V-JEPA2 but not for VideoMAE, and neither model holds a friction coefficient that survives a change of geometry.

Synthetic-to-Real Text-Based Person Anomaly Search via Multi-Model Retrieval Fusion and Cross-Encoder Reranking

Text-based person anomaly search requires a model to retrieve individuals from a large image gallery using natural-language descriptions of both appearance and behavior. This task is challenging because model training relies on synthetic image-text pairs, whereas evaluation is performed on real surveillance images containing domain differences, near-duplicate frames, and many visually similar distractors. We present a multi-model retrieval and reranking framework designed to improve synthetic-to-real transfer. The framework first adapts Qwen3-VL-Embedding-8B to synthetic person descriptions using bidirectional contrastive learning, explicit negative sampling, false-negative masking, and domain randomization. It then combines the normalized scores of six complementary Qwen3-VL checkpoints with those of a frozen SigLIP2 model using four-view gallery encoding. The fused retrieval scores identify the strongest candidates, which are jointly evaluated with the query using Qwen3-VL-Reranker-8B. The cross-encoder and retrieval scores are subsequently blended to produce the final ranking. We also construct a distractor-matched validation protocol entirely from synthetic data to select checkpoint weights, fusion coefficients, candidate depths, and reranking parameters without accessing the official test images. The final system achieves 94.7815% mAP and 90.8493% R@1 under the official AI City Challenge 2026 Track 4 test setting, with a reported eighth-place finish on the public leaderboard.

SyncVid: World-Equivariant Diffusion for Synchronized Video Generation

Generating multiple videos of a dynamic scene from a single reference video requires synthesizing both observed and unobserved content consistently across viewpoints. Existing camera-control methods for video diffusion typically rely on architectural mechanisms, including camera embeddings, cross-view attention, and geometric conditioning. Although effective for static scene content, these approaches often struggle with the fine-grained, dynamic geometry that must remain coherent across views and over time. We synchronize the diffusion process itself by sampling the Gaussian noise prior in a canonical 3D space derived from the source video and rasterizing it into target cameras, rather than sampling independently in each 2D image plane. Our method, SyncVid, lifts a monocular video into a canonical 4D representation, associates noise with scene geometry and unseen space, and rasterizes the resulting structured noise into arbitrary views. Because rendering can introduce local correlations, we further propose a cross-view-consistent whitening procedure that decorrelates neighboring pixels while preserving correspondence across views. The structured noise serves as the diffusion prior for a LoRA-adapted pretrained video diffusion model, requiring no architectural modifications. By enforcing spatiotemporal and cross-view coherence at the source of stochasticity, SyncVid generates synchronized videos and improves both perceptual quality and cross-view consistency in our experiments. See What I Need, Dream What I Want: A Navigation Foundation Model on a Self-Constructed Representation Space

What visual representation should a navigation policy act on? Navigation policies built on vision foundation models largely leave representation design to the encoders' pretraining objectives. We present RepresentNav, a navigation foundation model built on a self-constructed representation space: a visual representation constructed by the policy's own objectives from vision foundation models. RepresentNav builds this space with Representation Residuals, a compact three-layer transformer that attends over features spanning the full depth of multiple complementary vision foundation models, so that the policy learns to see what it needs for navigation. In the same space it dreams what it wants: before every action a latent chain-of-thought predicts the representation of the scene a moment ahead. The dream is trained end-to-end with the policy as a joint-embedding predictive architecture (JEPA), with a next-representation prediction loss and a regularizer on its targets. RepresentNav sets a new state of the art on VLNVerse, VLN-CE R2R, EVT-Bench, and two point-goal benchmarks, and its gains carry over to a physical robot amid clutter and moving people. On VLNVerse fine-grained, RepresentNav achieves 83.80% success, outperforming the previous state of the art by 20.05 percentage points, and on EVT-Bench distracted tracking it reaches 85.5% with a single camera (+10.1). With the same encoders, the self-constructed space clearly outperforms concatenating their outputs and learns to weight their layers unevenly, and a dream in it cuts collisions by a quarter. A single dreamed latent decodes into the depth, semantics, and 3D occupancy of the scene a moment ahead, more accurately than pretrained encoders applied to the real future frame, although occupancy is never supervised, and the rollout tracks the robot's own motion over the next second: the dream emerges as a compact latent world model.

Reading, Writing, Sharing, and Interacting with the World through Video

Video foundation models have advanced rapidly in understanding and generating visual sequences, while video world models seek to capture the underlying dynamics of the world they depict. Despite their different objectives, both concern the relationship between video observations and an evolving world. This survey adopts world modeling as a unifying lens for examining these developments. Viewing an observed video as a partial, lossy, and temporally ordered projection of a latent temporal world, we organize the literature around four complementary operations: reading infers world properties from observed video; writing synthesizes video from specified or learned world conditions; sharing integrates understanding and generation through common modeling mechanisms; and interacting predicts and updates world states under actions and evolving observations. This perspective distinguishes temporal coherence in observed or generated sequences from consistency in the underlying world state. Across tasks, representations, models, datasets, and benchmarks, we trace a shift in emphasis from clip-level recognition and perceptual fidelity toward persistent state, controllable evolution, physical and causal validity, and evaluation grounded in interaction and downstream decisions, and we distill the open challenges that follow.

    Gate3DGen: A Pre-processing Model that Selectively Purifies Real-World Images for 3D Generation

Single-image 3D generation has achieved high fidelity on curated benchmarks, yet degrades sharply on real-world images with uneven illumination, blur, and occlusions. Purifying such inputs requires deciding when to intervene and preserving the visual cues needed for 3D generation, while leaving clean inputs unchanged. We introduce Gate3DGen, a selective pre-processing model that gates image inputs to existing 3D generators without retraining them. A degradation-aware router bypasses inputs classified as clean and extracts features to guide purification of the remaining inputs. Conditioned on these features, a 3D-oriented one-step purifier purifies degraded inputs with spatial losses that encourage preservation of object identity, contours, and textural cues. To provide paired supervision, we construct a synthetic data engine that renders clean views of 3D assets and synthesises composite degradations. On the synthetic benchmark, the purifier improves image fidelity and downstream 3D geometry in only 2.3s on average, reducing TRELLIS.2 mesh distance by 61.5% relative to degraded inputs. VLM evaluation and human preferences on real photographs further support identity preservation and degradation correction. More demos and code are available at https://supra-3d.github.io/gate3dgen.

UniVOE: A Removal-Driven Framework for Interaction-Aware Universal Video Object Editing

Video object removal and injection are reciprocal editing operations between object-present and object-absent video states, yet they differ substantially in training difficulty. Removal can be effectively bootstrapped from video inpainting and further adapted to erase object-related interaction effects. Injection, however, requires large-scale paired supervision to model object appearance, dynamics, and scene-dependent effects, while perfectly aligned real-world pairs are difficult to collect and synthetic data lacks sufficient realism and diversity. To address this challenge, we present UniVOE, a removal-driven framework for training both video object removal and injection models. We first train an effect-aware remover by transferring video inpainting priors and finetuning on object-present/object-absent pairs. The trained remover converts real object-present videos into object-absent counterparts, creating large-scale paired supervision for injection. An injection model is trained on these pairs in the reverse direction to recover objects together with their dynamics and interaction effects. Moreover, since pixel-level reconstruction alone cannot adequately capture perceptual realism, we introduce a reward-based post-training method that aligns injection results with human preferences using a proprietary reward model. Experiments against strong open-source and commercial systems demonstrate that UniVOE achieves state-of-the-art performance on both object removal and injection, particularly in challenging interaction-effect cases.

WorldForge V2: Eliciting Camera-Trajectory Alignment in Video Diffusion Models

Video diffusion models have learned rich 3D/4D priors, making them promising for scene generation and video re-rendering. However, their use in spatial tasks is limited by imprecise camera control, spatial and temporal inconsistencies, and entangled camera motion with scene dynamics. Existing approaches, such as task-specific fine-tuning and post-process warping, often introduce visual artifacts, generalize poorly, or incur high computational costs. We propose WorldForge V2 to achieve accurate camera control while preserving the generative capabilities of pretrained video models. We first develop a training-free guidance framework using warped references to iteratively refine generation along a target camera path. Optical-flow analysis identifies motion-related latent channels for selective guidance, helping separate motion control from appearance. A dual-path strategy further compares guided and unguided predictions to correct artifacts from imperfect references. Together, these components guide viewpoint changes while preserving scene appearance and object motion. To reduce refinement costs, v-cache approximates the correction using the preceding denoising prediction, avoiding an additional model evaluation. We further extend motion localization from latent channels to network blocks and introduce Trajectory LoRA, which concentrates adaptation on blocks most responsive to trajectory guidance. A two-stage training strategy teaches these adapters to denoise the states encountered during guided generation, using limited supervision effectively. This enables reliable camera control with very little training data, with a single training scene already supporting generalization to unseen scenes. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations across multiple datasets show that our method achieves state-of-the-art generation quality and trajectory accuracy in camera-controlled video generation.

Self-Supervised Multibeam Sonar Restoration via Coherent Forward Modeling

Multibeam imaging sonar produces intensity images degraded by coherent speckle and system-induced blur, while clean reflectivity targets are rarely available. Existing despeckling methods often rely on simplified intensity-domain noise models, synthetic clean targets, or blind-spot self-supervision, and typically do not jointly model deblurring and speckle suppression. We propose a physics-consistent self-supervised framework for joint despeckling and deblurring of multibeam imaging sonar. A stochastic coherent image-formation model yields a conditional-mean forward operator that relates latent scene reflectivity to expected intensity through the squared magnitude of the system point spread function. We then use registered multi-frame sonar sequences to train without clean ground truth images, showing that, under an idealized inter-frame conditional-mean condition, the expected paired loss equals the corresponding forward-prediction loss up to a network-independent constant. To stabilize the ill-conditioned inverse problem, we further adapt robust equivariant imaging using stochastic coherent simulation and introduce a paired forward prediction error metric for ground-truth-free evaluation. Experiments on two real multibeam sonar datasets demonstrate a favourable balance between forward-prediction agreement, homogeneous-region speckle suppression, and preservation of visible structural boundaries compared with representative baselines.

A Sparse Topometric Graph for Scalable Cross-Session Indoor Navigation

A conventional embodied agent in an indoor environment builds a map by accumulating noisy real-world measurements and results from heavy inference to guide navigation. While the detailed measurements may differ due to scene changes or sensor settings, the unique topological structure of navigable passages or the connectivity between rooms may provide training-free guidance that complements local observations. We propose a sparse topometric graph as an efficient structural representation for robust indoor navigation, alleviating the need for fine-grained matching, which is computationally expensive, memory-intensive, and prone to real-world variations. The map consists of nodes that encode local 3D geometry and distance-weighted edges that capture traversable connectivity. A learned graph-matching network finds consistent subgraph structures across sessions by considering both node-level geometric descriptors and neighborhood connectivity. The holistic contextual matching is robust to local ambiguities caused by weak distinctiveness or repetitive structure, and establishes stable correspondences despite local scene changes, different sensor modalities, or limited spatial overlap. We analyze the practicality of the graph through cross-session point-goal navigation, where a goal specified in a prior reference map must be reached from an unknown initial pose in a later session. Experiments show that our method achieves the highest success rates (77.1% on Gibson and 40.0% under 3D-FRONT scene changes), while reducing memory by more than two orders of magnitude compared to point-level representations. The proposed approach further supports cross-session alignment and goal-directed navigation with strong scalability and robust real-world transfer.

RecallGS: Geometry-Grounded Recall for Online Semantic Gaussian Splatting

Online semantic 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables open-vocabulary scene understanding from streaming observations. However, existing methods recover geometric context missing from image-derived semantic features using an additionally learned 3D network, incurring extra training and runtime overhead. We observe that such geometric-semantic evidence may already exist in the agent's observation history and can be retrieved rather than learned. Based on this insight, we introduce RecallGS (Geometry-Grounded Recall for Online Semantic Gaussian Splatting), a lightweight, training-free mechanism that treats past observations as a non-parametric geometric-semantic prior. RecallGS follows a recall-ground-fuse pipeline: CLIP retrieves relevant observations, alpha-compositing weights identify geometrically supported views, and aggregate their semantic features over each Gaussian's rendered footprint. On ScanNet and ScanNet++, RecallGS achieves strong semantic segmentation performance at 2.48 FPS, demonstrating that geometric-semantic context can be effectively recovered from observation history without an additional learned 3D branch.

QICOM: Open-Source Software for Reproducible Image Quality Evaluation, Blinded Assessment, and Radiomic Comparison

QICOM (Quality Image COMparator) is open-source software for quantitative image comparison, paired radiomics, and blinded assessment. It saves processing settings, image identities, measurements, and response mappings so a comparison can be reopened and recalculated. We evaluate reference agreement, responses to controlled perturbations, and recovery of saved analyses. Synthetic experiments cover 37 quantitative descriptors using independentnumerical references and separate upstream integration comparisons. The QICOM/MIRP backend meets the reference tolerances for all 482 numeric IBSI 1 digital-phantom entries and all 1,622 entries across configurations A-E of the public CT reference case; these comprise 1,804 feature/aggregation comparisons and 300 preprocessing diagnostics. Restricting masked SSIM and HFEN to complete kernel support removes the observed dependence on excluded pixels. In a synthetic filtering example, stronger smoothing increases SSIM while worsening MSE and HFEN relative to milder smoothing and changing GLCM contrast more strongly. Reopened radiomics projects reproduce all 43 feature pairs per comparison, and two blinded deliveries return four correctly mapped scripted responses. These experiments document the calculations and data transfers linking the three workflows.

Inside-JEPA: From Prediction to Relational Grounding in Latent World Models

Joint-embedding predictive architectures (JEPAs) learn world models in latent space, enabling efficient planning but leaving their states opaque. We introduce Inside-JEPA, which places relational channels for ordered entity pairs inside the JEPA latent state and shows that an inverse-dynamics loss can ground these channels without relation labels when its head reads them, either alone or as part of the full state. On Something-Something V2, latent prediction alone performs no better than a random relation head, while inverse-dynamics supervision that recovers actions from channel changes improves relational AUROC by .065-.103 across ten settings with annotated boxes, by .081 on RH20T robot episodes with held-out tasks, and by .050-.061 across five relations using off-the-shelf detection and tracking. An inverse head on entity latents decodes actions more accurately but barely improves relational grounding; shuffled labels, two label-free objectives, and action labels on only 5% of the pairs also fail to ground the channels. Given an action, predicted relational changes approach the quality of observed future relations (AUROC .599 vs .621). For one-step relational goals, a supervised readout of the 16 channels ranks the correct action among the top five of 65 in 43% of cases, compared with 24% for prediction-only latents and 17% for a frequency prior.

HiSTEVE 1.0: Harnessing Human-Interface VLA Agents for Open-World Games

Building virtual embodied agents that operate in open-ended games like human players is a long-standing goal requiring both long-horizon autonomy and reliable native-interface control. As a procedurally generated open world, Minecraft provides a natural testbed for studying the integration of these capabilities. Existing agents typically provide either native visuomotor control without long-horizon autonomy or high-level planning executed through environment APIs or predefined skills. To bridge this gap, we propose HiSTEVE, a hierarchical VLA agent with a capability-aware agent harness. At the orchestration level, we equip the harness with structured memory for tracking progress and a VLM planner for selecting subtasks within the VLA's capabilities. To reliably determine subtask completion, we further introduce a policy-coupled task completion state detector that conditions on VLA policy context to signal candidate completion. At the control level, a single VLA executes all subtasks with vision-only perception and native keyboard-and-mouse actions. To mitigate interference between heterogeneous GUI and non-GUI interactions, we introduce regime-specific RMSNorm branches and separate mouse-movement token embeddings. We also train the VLA through world knowledge injection, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning with environment feedback to improve reliability and recovery. HiSTEVE achieves state-of-the-art atomic-task performance, scoring 85.0% on MineStudio Bench and a 37.4% average success rate on OpenHA, while also completing long-horizon tasks such as crafting an iron pickaxe from scratch like human players.

Dual Exam: Controlled Evaluation of Multimodal Agents and World Models

World Models (WMs) can support Multimodal Agents (MAs) through simulated experience, while Agent trajectories can inform World Model refinement. Evaluating this interaction requires separate evidence about action selection and state evolution. We introduce Dual Exam, which tests Agents under fixed environment response mechanisms and World Models under fixed action interventions across physical, digital, social, and scientific domains. The Agent track compares 10 configurations on 1,088 items in 15 reporting categories. The World Model track contains 400 cases across eight scenarios; 15 configurations have full coverage and one covers six scenarios. GPT 6 Astra leads the case-weighted Agent Index at 31.3, and GPT-Image-2 leads the full-coverage WM Overall at 21.7. These scores use different tasks and metrics and are not directly comparable. A 150-case pilot of one coupled pairing records zero task successes and motivates component-level diagnosis. Results reveal uneven task performance and failures to preserve task-relevant state. Their value for predicting coupled success or sustained reciprocal learning remains to be established.

Bound-Conditioned Latent Inference for Progressive Image Compression

Progressive image compression reconstructs images from prefixes of a single bitstream and therefore involves sequential latent inference under partial observations. Existing trit-plane codecs mainly treat decoded trits as discrete symbols for probability prediction, without fully exploiting their role as interval constraints on the underlying continuous latents. We propose bound-conditioned latent inference (BLI), a framework that reformulates progressive trit-plane coding as sequential latent inference under shrinking interval constraints. At each coding step, the trits decoded so far define lower and upper bounds for each latent element. BLI uses the center and width of these bounds, together with hyperprior information shared by the encoder and decoder, to jointly refine the Gaussian parameters $(μ,σ)$ for entropy modeling and the latent estimate $\hat{y}$ for reconstruction. As additional trits are decoded, the feasible intervals shrink monotonically, yielding tighter constraints for the next inference step and enabling flexible in-plane refinement schedules. Experiments on Kodak, CLIC, and JPEG-AI show that BLI achieves state-of-the-art rate-distortion performance among progressive image codecs, reducing BD-rate by $17.78\%$ over DPICT and by $7.96\%$ over CTC on Kodak, while replacing CTC's plane-specific predictors with a shared model that uses about $5.3\times$ fewer parameters and achieves lower latency than CTC.

GateFormer: Forecast-Space Decomposition for Intra-Hour Solar Irradiance Prediction from Sky Images

Sub-hourly dispatch, balancing, and storage control increasingly depend on forecasts that anticipate rapid variability in solar generation. Accurate sky-image-based irradiance forecasting requires a combination of visual cloud dynamics with recent irradiance state while adapting to different short-term irradiance-change regimes. To address this, we introduce GateFormer, a GHI-conditioned dual-decoder ViT for intra-hour global horizontal irradiance (GHI) forecasting through forecast-space decomposition. GateFormer embeds observed GHI into the visual token stream, allowing interaction with sky-image patch features through self-attention. From this shared representation, a Trajectory Head predicts future GHI sequence, while a Delta Head predicts final-horizon change from the latest observed GHI. The two final-horizon forecasts are adaptively weighted in prediction space, with magnitude- and direction-supervision targeting the remaining error. On the NREL-TSI benchmark, GateFormer attains 125.01 W/m^2 RMSE at +30 min, improving over a state-of-the-art transformer baseline by 9.6% under paired-timestamp evaluation. Across NREL-TSI, Chilbolton, and SIRTA, GateFormer achieves the lowest final-horizon RMSE among the evaluated baselines, with forecast skill of 22.97-28.86% relative to smart persistence. Component ablations show adaptive weighting outperforms both individual decoders and fixed averaging, distinguishing GateFormer from conventional forecast combination, while the supervised correction further reduces RMSE by 1.68 W/m^2 and MAE by 4.86 W/m^2. Ramp-regime diagnostics show larger gains during operationally important positive ramps, reducing RMSE by 26.27 W/m^2. These results identify forecast-space decomposition as an alternative forecasting formulation, with potential relevance to other multimodal short-horizon forecasting tasks and deployment using only sky images and measured GHI.

Vision Transformers for Estimating Irradiance Using Data Scarce Sky Images

Accurate estimation of diffuse horizontal irradiance (DHI) is critical for optimising photovoltaic system performance and energy forecasting yet remains challenging in regions lacking comprehensive ground-based instrumentation. Recent advancements using Vision Transformers (ViTs) trained on extensive sky image datasets have shown promise in replacing costly irradiance measurement equipment, but the scarcity of long-term, high-quality sky imagery significantly restricts practical implementation. Addressing this critical gap, this study proposes a novel dual-framework approach designed for data-scarce scenarios. First, calculated atmospheric parameters, including extraterrestrial irradiance and cyclic time encodings, are integrated to represent sky conditions without utilising any instrumentation. Next, a sequential pipeline initially predicts synthetic global horizontal irradiance (GHI) and uses it as a feature, to refine DHI estimation. Finally, a dual-parallel architecture simultaneously processes raw and overlay-enhanced fisheye sky images. Overlays are generated through unsupervised, physics-informed cloud segmentation to highlight dynamic sky features. Empirical validation is performed using data from the Chilbolton Observatory, chosen for its temperate climate and frequent cloud variability. To simulate data-scarce conditions, models are trained on a single month (e.g., January) and evaluated across a temporally disjoint, full-year test set. Under this setup, the sequential and dual-parallel frameworks achieve RMSE values within 2-3 W/m^2 and 1-6 W/m^2, respectively, of a state-of-the-art ViT trained on the complete dataset. By combining physics-informed modelling with unsupervised segmentation, the proposed method provides a scalable and cost-effective solution for DHI estimation, advancing solar resource assessment in data-constrained environments.

H-2DGS: Height-Field Gaussian Splatting for Sharp and Deformable Neurosurgical Surface Reconstruction

Neurosurgical navigation commonly presents magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as 2D slices, making it difficult to relate the anatomy in those slices to the cortical surface observed through the surgical microscope. We seek a common 3D visualization that combines a photorealistic reconstruction of the exposed cortex during tumor surgery with whole-brain MRI context and diffusion tractography pathways. This requires the reconstructed cortex to form a clear boundary around the brain anatomy rather than a diffuse volume that obscures internal structures. Conventional 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) can reproduce observed views but, under limited surgical view coverage, may distribute opacity through a thick and geometrically ambiguous band. We introduce height-field 2D Gaussian Splatting (H-2DGS), a three-stage pipeline that concentrates a robust 3DGS reconstruction, fuses its depth into a shared truncated signed distance field (TSDF) surface, and represents that surface with curved, surface-oriented Gaussian primitives. Separate height, color, and opacity bases provide local geometry and appearance, while a neighbor-transition objective coordinates overlapping patches. The explicit surface further supports postoperative alignment: MRI-derived depth deforms the reconstruction, and tracked-color supervision with alternating optimization preserves its appearance. Across five real neurosurgical cases, H-2DGS gives low multi-view depth inconsistency, a compact 7.97MB representation, and interactive rendering at 29--42ms per frame. The resulting sharp, deformable surface integrates clearly with tractography and MRI anatomy, including a postoperative resection cavity.

DRILL: Training World Models to Improve Policies, Not Predict Pixels

World models are increasingly used to reduce environment interaction when post-training vision-language-action (VLA) policies with reinforcement learning. Yet they are typically trained to predict pixels one step ahead, even though their role here is not merely to render visually faithful videos but to produce learning signals from imagined rollouts that improve the policy. We show that this mismatch is substantial: lower pixel MSE can produce worse policy gradients, and a world model trained for policy utility can yield better downstream policies despite 17% higher pixel MSE on the next frame. We propose the Downstream-Return Imagination Learning Loop (DRILL), a bilevel framework that updates the world model to maximize the policy's return after an inner GRPO update on imagined rollouts. DRILL has two instantiations. DRILL-VWI is a closed-form surrogate, requiring no additional simulator rollouts, that reweights prediction errors by policy visitation, the group-relative GRPO advantage, and model confidence. DRILL-IMG is a full meta-gradient method that differentiates through the inner update using truncated Hessian-vector products. We show that DRILL-VWI recovers the local one-step component of the DRILL-IMG meta-gradient under score-compatibility and small-residual assumptions. Across five manipulation simulators and two VLA backbones, DRILL-IMG raises mean success rate by 13.1 points over WMPO and 7.9 points over RLVR-World, and complements RLVR pretraining rather than competing with it. More broadly, we believe video world models for VLA reinforcement learning can be productively trained by the policy gradients they produce, not only by pixel-level prediction.

An Introduction to World Models for Generalist Agents

World models have recently emerged as a promising direction toward developing generalist agents capable of understanding, predicting, and interacting with diverse environments. However, despite growing interest, the concept of a world model remains loosely defined, encompassing approaches ranging from predictive dynamics models and learned simulators to models that jointly generate future observations and actions. This introductory paper aims to clarify the concept of world models and provide a unified perspective on their role in developing generalist agents. Starting from the partially observable Markov decision process (POMDP) framework, we connect world modeling to classical control, dynamical systems, signal processing, and reinforcement learning. We introduce different approaches to world modeling, emphasizing the knowledge they capture, their learning objectives, and how they support decision-making. We further explore the relationship between world modeling and policy learning, highlighting how these capabilities can be unified through conditional prediction without requiring separate models. Rather than offering an exhaustive survey of existing methods, this paper focuses on fundamental concepts, modeling principles, and connections, with the goal of providing an accessible and unified introduction to world models for generalist agents.
